Since the year 2000, atmospheric methane has increased from 0.0000018 to 0.0000019 mole fraction. This has geologist Joel Gombiner concerned.

Over the years, the IPCC tells us in all their assessment reports how many times more powerful methane is at trapping heat than CO2. Here’s the list:
AR# GWP
AR1 63
AR2 56
AR3 62
AR4 72
AR5 85
AR6 82.5
The Global Warming Potential (GWP) is now 82.5 times more powerful than CO2.
By 2100 atmospheric methane will probably be at least ~2500 ppb but we are NEVER told how much global warming that will cause. The reason for that is it will be a nearly unmeasurable amount. If anyone says it’s more than 0.1°C they should show their work or provide the source. It’s probably less than 0.05°C.
The scientific warming potential of methane is 7.2 times that of CO2.
Here is the proof with a lot of math by a Phd level chemist.
