I asked ChatGPT to generate some graphs of climate data.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

Oh Dear! What alarming stuff! It’s time to start another protest!
How frightening for our children ….
Oh dear, we need to re-train the AI.
I wonder how long chatgpt will be allowed to do this
before it gets Lysenko-updated.
All real information sources are noisy, yet AI systems are designed on the basis that the information available to them is all valid. There is no mathematical formulation which can predict when the system will amplify noise and suppress facts. AI works very well with machine translation mainly because that consists essentially of coding the same information differently, without adding or removing spurious nonsense. Most of the information sources on the internet have very low signal to noise, especially if the search algorithm is based on popularity. It is a fact of life that the real experts in any subject will always be a minority of the population, hence existing search algorithms are heavily biased against people who know what they are talking about.
the charts show a lack of climate change. maybe the populace isn’t so ignorant – as they always rank climate change as an issue they’re not very concerned about compared to other issues. a couple days ago my daughter and her husband were on trail ridge road in Rocky mountain national Park, Colorado. the highest elevation of that road is a little bit over 12,000 ft. the day before they left I told them I’ll bet you will see some snow up there, like a patch here and there. They did. same as I did the last time I was there, in August, 20 years ago.
I feel safe saying that the climate isn’t changing but some things are. if you want to buy a house in Missoula Montana expect to pay double what you paid four years ago. if you want to buy a house in Monroe Washington which is 30 mi from Seattle, expect to pay triple what you paid 20 years ago. has your income tripled in the last 20 years? mine hasn’t.
Then add the increases in home owner insurance and taxes.
Two years ago my homeowner insurance was less
than $2 k/year. Last year around $2500. This year it was over $3300.
Transitory inflation, I reckon.
Hey a new method of guerrilla warfare. If some ash hat insists that climate change is a problem, tell him to have Chat GPT generate these graphs and see if he can find any sign of climate change. Any others which we can tell him to generate and look at? Do we need to specify the timelines for each?
it’s a religion it can’t be questioned. I contacted the Minneapolis Star Tribune paper many times 15 years ago and I suggested to them that they do a story on the St Cloud Minnesota weather records that show that if you compare the temperatures from 1900 to 1934, to the most recent 35 years you’ll find that there’s no change down to 1/10 of a degree and that should be good news! they had no interest in doing that story. many of us hoped after Republican billionaire Glen Taylor, who owns the Timberwolves, after he bought the Minneapolis Tribune 20 years ago, we hoped things would change but they never did. it’s a left-wing rag and I quit reading it 10 years ago.
The problem is that the morons still read it, and then they watch ABC, CBS, NBC to confirm everything that they read. These mass media propagandists are drowning out all alternative voices. Something needs to be done about them. Possibly sue them all out of business for spreading untruths ( I won’t bother using their terminology: mis, dis, mal information- it’s just more propaganda.)
Chat GPT should be banned from social media for misinformation.
