US fruit production has doubled over the past fifteen years, but the Washington Post says it is threatened by “climate change”
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

Value going up might simply be the same fruit selling at higher prices … given that the USD is getting diluted by money printing.
But yeah, the average farmer is bright enough to adapt to half a degree temperature variation … and most plants actually benefit from slightly higher temperatures and more CO2 fertilizer.
The wrongologists have predicted food doom ever since Malthus … while the main health danger has become obesity, possibly because people have many more choices today and they might make poor choices … but certainly not because there’s a food shortage.
When you read the fine print … generally the climate numpties predict more drought, and there’s no evidence that drought is getting worse but human technology is finding more ways to adapt to the drought we do have.
I have never heard of a paw paw. I’ve heard of Pa Kettle. lol. the drought argument is so absurd. if it’s raining less then average here then it’s raining more than average over there and vice versa. it all balances out eventually. here in South Central Minnesota many fields have irrigation infrastructure (sprinklers) but it’s only used extensively about one out of three years, or maybe one out of three weeks in the average growing season.
Well the US dollar in 1990 is worth $2.41 today, so I hope the dollar figures in the chart are inflation adjusted. (roughly 2.62% per year) Otherwise the data does not indicate a rise in production.

Wasn’t there a cartoon or a kids’ toy (or both) from the 1980’s called the Paw Paws?
