Hurricane Doublespeak

1916 was one of the most active hurricane seasons, with five hurricanes hitting the US – as well as several tropical storms. On October 18, 1916 a hurricane made landfall at the Florida Panhandle – close to where a major hurricane hit in July.

According to NASA, ocean temperatures were cold that year.

Tony, have you asked that ‘globally renowned scholar’ from your previous post to comment on this 97% impossible anomaly?

Despite NASA’s assurances 1916 was on the ‘chilly’ side of average, the NWS assures us it was a ‘very active’ year for CLIMATE DISRUPTION CRISIS – possibly caused by Mr Ford’s Model T, or, the price of milk in the colonies.

    The Science says: 2 + 2 = 5.

  2. a) The record starts at a particularly cold period
    b) It has been 5 degrees or hotter in the past and the effect was increased vegetation and greening of the deserts
    c) The warming has nothing to do with carbon dioxide levels have been 15 times greater in the past, and in any case the ‘greenhouse effect’ has no influence on equilibrium temperatures
    d) It is doubtful whether a global temperature can be known to better than a few degrees. Which mean is it? I can think of several methods which yield an ‘average’ of some kind, but they will not agree with each other.
    e) In any case, the data have been ‘adjusted’ to fit the mythical greenhouse effect.

f)The plot is what Darrell Huff calls a ‘gee whizz’ graph. Data are presented for regions where there were no measurements. It is artistic license and propaganda, not science.

I do believe I heard a few days ago that 1916 was the last time the mountainous region of North Carolina had an epic flood. hurricanes can be nasty. in the news recently …part of the vicious flood that North Carolina suffered was caused by a dam that was opened unexpectedly with no warning. does mother nature build dams? yeah …I guess they do… they’re called beaver dams but other than that? I haven’t read the details but they probably opened the dam because it was in danger of collapsing or being over topped. but whatever, … it probably made the situation worse for many people.

Their most recent alarmunism: the global water cycle is off balance.

“(CNN) — Humanity has thrown the global water cycle off balance “for the first time in human history,” fueling a growing water disaster that will wreak havoc on economies, food production and lives, according to a landmark new report.”

They won’t quit until they get their long-sought global communism and have you eating bugs and Soylent Green.

We know since the Iraq Qar that CNN is a reliable source 🙂

Funny thing btw that they only have (official)data about the arctics since 1979 and burned acreage since 81,
but they know exactly how the global water system during the last 200000 years was.
Especially during the ice age with miles high glaciers covering most of north America and northern Europe – with significantly smaller and cooler oceans and way lower evaporation.
The whole article also fails to explain how record harvests year after year are even possible in such a scenario.
Especially when we add all other AGW related desasters.

And on top of that: why is noone ever coming up with real ,obvious solutions to these problems = more desalination plants, more reservoirs, more pipeline, redirecting river water before it get lost to oceans,
instead of wasting money on windmills.

Just another goofy idea to blame random weather events on humans. There were never hurricanes nor tornadoes, nor earthquakes, nor ?? before humans. Start with that as a given and then smoke pot.
