Sheesh, next they will be naming Alberta Clippers and other midwest US-originating storms — those often have central barometric pressure readings around 990 to 1000 MB (hPa).

As Daffy Duck used to say, “It is, to laugh”.

Somehow Mann has to get to his predicted 34 named storms.

And by doing so one can inflate the scare propaganda in the most peaceful scenario .
Even if the number actually dropped by 98 % from 1000 to 20
it would be 20 more in the books.

    • LOL@Klimate Katastrophe Kooks says:

Indeed. This is a direct result of that toad Michael Mann making a ridiculous prognostication, and being too butthurt to admit when he’s wrong… liberals don’t seek to align what they know with reality, they seek to align reality with what they believe… even if they have to be scummy liars to do so, naming mere gusts of wind as “storms”.

Just watch… in the future, Mann will absolutely proclaim himself to be “not wrong” based upon this ridiculous naming of gusts of wind. Wait for it… it’s coming.

As that 1950s rock’n’roll song pleaded:
“Nadine, why can’t you be true; oh Nadine” boo hoo hoo.

Moving at never-before-seen-speeds of 14 mph, howling with off-the-scale-winds of nearly 30 mph, and with life-threatening pressure of 1006 hPa it’s expected to dissipate before it even began. Desperation on steroids – maybe it needs its 17th booster shot.

The U.K. had its first storm over the weekend, so the authorities pulled a wascally wabbit out of their hat and named it Archibald or Anthony or Alan or anything beginning with ‘A’ to freak the sheep.

Fiji had its 1st proto-cyclone of the year, minimum pressure of 1001 hPa, barely a ‘low’ or a ‘depression’, yet thankfully no one’s put a ‘name’ to it. A lot of surfers are pulling a ‘sickie’ off work today (Monday) as swells generated by the storm have arrived here on New Zealand’s northeast coast, first wave of the summer, hoot for Huey!

  4. Peter Carroll says:

I suffered from Post Circumcision Depression. It was that bad, I couldn’t walk for about 18 months.

  5. D. Boss says:

Since they get away with altering the temperature data to match the CO2 is evil narrative, they believe they can fudge all sorts of other weather data as well to fit the narrative. They have egg on their faces regards this year’s Atlantic Tropical Storm predictions and because it is based on named storms… so they start naming depressions. When in the past only when it becomes a Tropical Storm does it get a name.

The dividing line is at 39 mph sustained winds, above which it’s a TS and below merely a depression. Blatant fraud to support their narrative. But they have been doing this for about 7 years in that they have been inflating the wind speed and category of Hurricanes too, in their campaign to paint normal weather as human caused climate apocalypse….

  6. Caleb Shaw says:

Actually, to give a small amount of credit where a small amount is due, Nadine actually was a weak tropical storm when named, east of Mexico, before it moved inland.

A lot of people in the weather bureau are decent people who hate the political crap they have to put up with. Maybe they lack the guts men like Bill Gray had when he stood up to Al Gore, but men like Hansen disgusted and still disgust them. We must be careful not to paint with too broad a brush, when only the ilk of Mann deserve the tar and feathers.

As this feature moves into the Pacific it likely will redevelop in to a tropical storm, but will lose the name “Nadine”. They always rename such storms with the next name due in the Pacific season.

Hang in there, everyone. In 14 days we overthrow the government of nitwits!

    • Caleb Shaw says:

It did redevelop and now is tropical storm “Kristy” west of Mexico. Will likely become a strong hurricane, but is headed west and do little more than please the surfers in California.

  7. Bill says:

Yes, yes, this is worrisome – in fact, it’s designed to make you worry.

But I won’t start really worrying until they run out of regular names for hurricanes and start using movie monster names:

“King Ghidorah To Make Landfall On Florida Coast”

    “Pennywise Threatens New Orleans”

“The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms Terrifies Sunshine State”
