Toto joined his friend Rambo last night, peacefully in his sleep. He was my constant companion for almost eighteen years, but was never the same after Rambo left us in 2020. This was one of their last pictures together, taken at Black Canyon City, Arizona on March 17, 2020.
My deepest condolences for your loss. It is always painful to lose a buddy. You are fortunate that he passed peacefully rather than needing to make the decision to ease his pain.
The four legged buddies offer unconditional love for a bit of attention.
It is an unfortunate reality that we are only on this plane of existence for a limited time but, it is natural.
I hope you have plenty of sweet memories to ease the pain.

Years ago columnist Michael Storey featured his cat Otis in a Saturday Arkansas Democrat-Gazette column called “Otis the Head Cat.” It was a much beloved column of humorous fabrication ostensibly written by Otis. The cat had his photograph in each column.
Well, the time came for the elderly Otis to pass on. The following Saturday a new photograph of Otis appeared. Otis now had a halo over his head and Otis told us that he would transmit his weekly column from the Great Beyond to owner, Michael Storey. The column continued until the time owner Michael Storey himself died and thus joined Otis in the Great Beyond.
Otis told marvelous yarns about the annual arrival of humidity pods at the beginning of the Arkansas summer. Be careful and don’t let one envelope you! He also wrote about the plight of Arkansas Velcro farmers.
So Toto can continue doing his wonderful job of pulling back the curtain on climate alarmism just as he has always done. He can keep watch from dog heaven and pass along to Tony all that he sees down here on Earth. The halo would look good on him.
Very sorry to hear about Toto. Any dog lover knows how hard it is to lose a close companion. We all feel we know him.
