The ice age was suffering from the same problems as global warming does.
Compulsive mankind saving ubercompetent experts and their superaccurate endtimes predictions(easily movable goalpost included) who are never satisfied with whatever politicians do.
Good News: Politicians doing nothing was obviously the right thing to do,
as this ended the ice age.
And the reboot of Ice Age called AGW(same actors,same scriptwriters,same producers,same MSM) could end the same way within less than a year – if they allow it.
Who is going to make billions out of putting soot on the Arctic ice? Global warming panic is much more lucrative; government subsidies for wind farms and solar arrays, destroying agriculture to force the people to eat your synthetic meat and insect protein, destroying heavy industry to destroy employment and force dependency on the state. Use the ill gotten gains to get control over governments to enslave the population… Ozone layer depletion and acid rain were obviously only small potatoes, but global warming has been a godsend, and must be protected at all costs.
Ozon layer,DDT were just the things to test the waters in terms of banning on a global scale.
(they became huge global problems just AFTER the Club of Rome was created,
and iirc the banning of DDT started also in the 1970ies.
Then we had peak oil,end of oil etc etc;)
The problem with the Ice Age,besides not having the scenario to tax the whole world(air pollution was the tax thing,but filters became way too effective),was
that the Ice Age would have required the building
of more and more power plants to counter the lack of sun energy and more and more farmland to counter the lack of growth.
And therefore the god of coincidences ,who always only works for the Malthusians,
replaced one cold diavolo ex machina with a hot one
where you can get rid of farmland,fossil fuels,powerplants.
When we take a look at the correlation of co2 output and food production with civilizational development and living standards(china is currently a very good example)
we may get an idea of what they are really trying to get rid off.
That’s why they ignore so much that an increase of
of co2 has made the world significantly greener
(co2 is here the ultimate boss in the room as food plant and a 50% increase still does not have spectacular results in greening and for sure no greening runaway effect)
while in terms of greenhouse gases it has only a supporting
role(overall about 5% iirc)
but is being sold in this case as armageddon.
