It has been very fashionable for awhile now for the conservative/libertarian philosophies to accept Elon Musk since he joined forces with Trump. However, I never trusted Musk. I always thought he was an opportunist and a manipulator with a snide and mean attitude. He has an unfortunate tendency to insult people and pontificate rather than debate them. Plus, the main thing, is that he actually believes the climate change nonsense. I simply cannot respect anyone’s intelligence if they really and truly believe that 0.04% CO2 in the atmosphere is going to destroy the world, and that by driving battery-powered cars and putting up windmills and solar panels we can solve the alleged problem. That’s a religion, not science, and it’s all based on greed.
I’m really starting to think that Musk faked the entire thing regarding his “alliance” with Trump, and that it was all done out of an attempt to manipulate Trump into embracing the idiotic concept of climate change, and promoting those crummy Tesla cars.
I don’t think that anyone with 0 political background can fake himself into any relevant governmental position.
They may can buy or blackmail their way into it.
And it would have been way cheaper and more profitable and comfortable for Musk to abuse Twitter for massive AGW propaganda 24/7,censor the critics and go pro Harris,get all MSM and big tech praise and becoming silicon valleys De Niro than doing what he’s done.
His position isno different than Trumps take on H1B visas.
He called them very bad and unfair
and used them for his business.
It was all about DOGE. But NOT for finding government waste; it was for access to all government data for his AI business – access no competing AI company has, which gives him YUGE advantage over his AI competitors. The data has also been handed off to Palantir for construction of the surveillance system which will combine facial recognition systems (cameras are everywhere now) with All of your personal data. So the feds can see your face at a train station or intersection or doorbell camera, immediately identify you, and have that liked to All your personal information – including social media, employment info, banking records, phone numbers, emails, texts, criminal records, and even health records. Palantir is building it right now with assistance from Musk and Larry Ellison, among others. First iteration should be operational within 3 years.
Why race to destabilize our electricity grid and impoverish ourselves via solar power?
So if China would go solar
they would drop to sub-communist levels.
And the only reason solar in China can pretend to be a success story
seems to betraditionell energy.
Without them they would not be able to produce 10 panels without going full Mao on the poulation.
My take on Musk is…. and no doubt I could be wrong…. he has more money than John D. Rockefeller and God combined. at this point money doesn’t motivate him. I think Musk relished the publicity of him being buddies with the world’s most powerful man, Donald Trump. the relationship slightly fractured but he’s back begging to be taken back into the fold.. why? certainly not because he needs the money. I could be wrong but I think I read that Musk only owns only 12% of Tesla at this point so that’s not a front burner issue for him.. in my thinking. was it Toyota who just came out and said EV’s pollute three times as much as hybrid cars? if I know that then musk knew that way before I did. Musk should be advised to stay with the Trump team because the Democrats want to put him in prison… like they do all other people who don’t swallow their tainted Kool-Aid.
It is becoming ever more apparent that Musk hoped that by sucking up to Trump, the latter would keep the billions in green subsidies going for Tesla
It is no coincidence that the bust up came immediately after it was announced they would not!
Why stop your enemy when making mistakes. Let them go full solar.
