“Texas Hot And Dry For The Rest Of The Century”

Four years ago, Andrew Dessler of Texas A&M said Texas would be hot and dry for the rest of the century

He massively failed on both counts

Since he made that forecast, Texas temperatures have cyclically plummeted. Before data tampering by NCDC, Texas shows no indication of a human influence on climate.

Texas Governor Rick Perry said in 2011.

The rains will return – they always do

He was massively ridiculed by Dessler and others for stating the obvious.

Climate experts are utterly clueless buffoons. They operate based on superstition, rather than science – which is why President Obama calls them “our best scientists”

O’s science advisors likely believe what they are peddling. Holdren, like Ehrlich, seem to be convinced that their timing is off but that doomsday is only being delayed. Does Obama himself believe or does he simply use this as a means for gaining political power?

  2. SMS says:

Well that prediction was a massive fail. Where do we go from here?

  3. Elaine Supkis says:

Yes, all things good and bad are bad due to ‘global warming’. This insane philosophy will go down in history as one of the stupidest, ever.

That would be good…. you presume there will be a history, and that that history will not be written by the Church of AGW after a purge of heretical “deniers”.

I think the odds are with you…but not by enough to bet on.

Texas gets a lot of its rain from hurricanes/tropical storms. So, during a time when hurricane activity is low and fewer large storms have hit the gulf coast, you expect them to have less rain.

    Keep it coming Mr H!

Going to the above site, you can see rainfall estimates and zoom in to specific localities in Texas. This site allows you to see daily up to the most recent 120 day accumulations in step intervals. For instance, where I am in the process of selling my home near Sour Lake, TX, there has been 30 inches of rain during the period 1/25/2015 to 5/25/2015 — that is a lot of rain. In contrast, at this site I do not see that small apparent-below-normal-precipitation anomaly in the HPRCC precipitation map just north of Odessa, TX

Apparently big floods in the area. Didn’t catch the details.

Looks like Gaia likes to fool them. Kind of Gore effect. Funny.

Texas Climate: “Drought punctuated by flood.”

  10. Larry Geiger says:

Somewhere, sometime, a disaster is happening. It’s tragic. A small child has cancer. The world’s highest mountain tries to through a bunch of lunatics off of it. It’s flooding in Bangladesh (as it always does until it doesn’t). It must be true that a tragic disaster is coming to me. Soon. Real. Soon. Now. Must panic. (waving hands in the air). Run, skip, jump, cry, shake, and scream. Oh my.
