“Something we are doing is clearly not working”

Jeff Bezos has figured out that the public doesn’t like being lied to, gaslighted, propagandized and censored.

Jeff Bezos is the owner of The Washington Post.

In the annual public surveys about trust and reputation, journalists and the media have regularly fallen near the very bottom, often just above Congress. But in this year’s Gallup poll, we have managed to fall below Congress. Our profession is now the least trusted of all. Something we are doing is clearly not working.”

    Give me a break.

“We must work harder to control…” people’s thoughts and perceptions, a.k.a. Bezos’ mythical ‘reality’, so they’ll learn to love their subservience – with a daily dose of soma mixed in with their serving of bugs from the government (control mind) ‘well-being’ department.

An acronym of Bezos is ‘ze SOB’. Too little, too late. Enough said.

  2. The media is distrusted because they have been caught lying. The solution is not to tell the truth, but to prevent themselves from being caught. Winston Smith’s prospects look bright.

‘we are failing on the second requirement’

Wow! “We must fix the people.”

Perhaps Bezos deliberately triggered a mass resignation by NOT endorsing Harris / Walz. Doing so helps the WaPo at least 2 ways. Mass resignation rids it of left wing propagandists, and some empty chairs could be filled with more credible contributors. Mass resignation also creates opportunities to replace OVERpaid staff with budget staff.

  5. Denis Rushworth says:

Bezos’ example of voting machines, that they be accurate and be perceived as accurate, is not at the root of the voting issue. The root issue is that voters must be fully qualified to vote and that all must be believed to be qualified. Bezos seems not to even understand the root issue. That is the problem.

3.4% are Republicans? are you sure it’s that high? lol

  7. Timo, not that one! says:

“We must work harder to control what we can control to increase our credibility.”

Did Bezos hire Kommala to help him write this?

  8. Billyjack says:

Apparently Bezos saw a recent poll that ranked journalism with honorable professions. Journalism came in slightly above child molestation, but well below armed robbery.

  9. Gamecock says:

Washington Post is a hobby, not a business.

Bezos’ business is amazon.com. Bidenomics has not been good for him. A Kamalacrashdump economy would be worse.

What fun it would be if he made WP endorse TRUMP! whom I suspect he would prefer.
