NIWA tried to claim last year’s NZ Winter was one of the warmest aswell.
That was a big laugh. I had the worst frost, ever for damage to plants, due to frost damage I can ever remember, The frost burnt and killed nearly half the plants in the garden. And my fishpond was frozen over with pane of glass thick like ice on several occasions..
Actually it has been very warm, and also somewhat drier than usual this Winter, at least in Auckland.
You won’t hear me complaining!
