Just over a month ago, the LA Times told us that New Mexico’s ecosytems would never recover from the drought.
Aug. 6, 2013
nowhere is it worse than in New Mexico. In this parched state, the question is no longer how much worse it can get but whether it will ever get better — and, ominously, whether collapsing ecosystems can recover even if it does.
The larger problem is collapsing intelligence of journalists.
Journalists . . . Making turnips everywhere look so intelligent.
7 1/2 inches in a week!!…..that’s it??
Good Lord in heaven, it wouldn’t do for those morons to live here….that’s a drought for us in the rainy season!
In the mountains, the rain collects over a large drainage and gets funneled into canyons – thus 7 inches of rain becomes more like 100 inches.
it does the same thing in South Florida…that much water has to run somewhere
It’s not uncommon for us to get 7-8 inches just in one afternoon…
…we got about 5 inches yesterday afternoon
What kind of bonehead would imply that just because the weather happens to be bad now that it will probably never get better and most likely will only get worse?
Does anyone with half a brain believe nonsense like this?
The pen is mightier than the sword, and it’s long past time that we start requiring mental health evaluations for ‘journalists’.
