Clothing Deniers Debunked

For centuries it was believed that the Emperor had no clothing, but new research indicates that this was based on the testimony of one small child, who had no background in textiles or even retail clothing sales. He also had no formal education in clothing and had never published anything about fashion in a peer reviewed journal.

Furthermore, it has been discovered that more than 97% of the experts at the time agreed that the emperor had fine clothing. We can therefor safely conclude that the emperor was well clothed, and that the child was not competent to discuss his wardrobe.

If it turns cold over the next decade or two as some have suggested it will, even the emperor will have to grab a jacket before the real magnitude of his ego is shrunk to accommodate the changes.

The best place to hide something is in plain sight. People see what they want to see and hear what they want to hear. The next US president will be an east European born communist or a Mexican born socialist.

  8. Andy Oz says:

“Then a child in the crowd, too young to understand the desirability of keeping up the pretense, blurts out that the Emperor is wearing nothing at all and the cry is taken up by others. The Emperor cringes, suspecting the assertion is true, but continues the procession.”
UNIPCC are prancing around “naked” and wondering why people are laughing at them.
Stupidity is contagious but thankfully there is a cure. Cut the funding off.

  9. There is that, and then there is this:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_consensus

This bias is especially prevalent in group settings where one thinks the collective opinion of their own group matches that of the larger population. Since the members of a group reach a consensus and rarely encounter those who dispute it, they tend to believe that everybody thinks the same way.

Sir Bob Geldof told a group of youngsters at a summit in Johannesburg, South Africa recently that all humans will die before 2030 due to the effects of climate change unless the problem is addressed urgently.

I really doubt that any of the kids actually believed what Sir Bob was telling them. Kids see the truth. What they saw was this rambling, crazy old man who was waving his hands all around showing everyone that he was definitely not smarter than a 6th grader, and probably not smarter than an ameba.
