Climate geniuses tell us that global warming increases the humidity in the air and makes hurricanes more intense, which is why there have been no major hurricanes this year – due to very dry air.
Why Scientists Were Wrong About This Year’s Hurricane Season
As a result of their having failed every single climate prediction, experts have increased their confidence level to 95%.
Reblogged this on Health Science Watch.
—–and the PDO is now in its cool phase and the AMO in its warm phase. Both conditions favor more hurricanes and more intensity in them. Yet Nada.
Climatologists must learn to accept on basic fact. They are in a period of negative discovery.
The more they learn, the more they should realize that there is a much greater amount that they do not know.
In this particular case, I’ll say it actually fits together.
Generally the peak warming was around year 2000 (we could argue 1998 or whatever, but thereabouts). If you look at Dr Ryan Maue’s Accumulated Cyclone Energy charts, the peak cyclone activity does approximately coincide with the peak warming.
Overall we have been cooling for about a decade (again give or take) and ACE has been trending down for about a decade. It totally makes sense, read the chapter in Ed Krug’s book “Environment Betrayed” about the water cycle (evaporation, condensation, etc) as “Earth’s Air-Conditioner System”. Krug even found some old references for when this was common knowledge.
So the troposphere has two useful effects: it carries heat from the surface to the top of the clouds (thus increasing the effective surface area of radiation, and moving the heat past most of the CO2 and past all of the H2O which might obstruct radiative cooling) and it also moves heat from the equator (that gets a lot of sun) to the poles (that get relatively little).
Some people tell you that if Earth had no atmosphere it would be equivalent to a black body of about -18ºC and thus too cold to live. This is utter bullshit. No one lives on an “average global temperature” they live in a local temperature. The troposphere broadens the liveable area of the Earth’s surface by preventing the equator getting too warm, and preventing the areas away from the equator from getting too cold (i.e. lateral transport of heat). The effective black body temperature of an infinitely conductive Earth means nothing, because no such conductive Earth has ever existed.
George White ran into this strong negative feedback caused by the water cycle when looking at satellite data, also Willis Eschenbach found the same nonlinearity in the Argo data. How much heat can this system handle? Well, the IT industry has now completely standardised on heat pipes as the absolutely most effective cooling system bar none. That says to me, it can handle all the heat we throw at it and a lot more.
You are correct, it IS bullshit. Sunshine is NOT cold like the warmist loons keep saying. If it were, evaporation would be impossible. Humidity would be impossible. The entire hydro-logical cycle would be impossible.
They can predict that global temperatures will “go off the charts” in 2047, but according to that NatGeo article, last Spring they could not predict that in a couple of months the air over the Atlantic would be too dry for hurricanes to form. It is “difficult to predict”, according to that article.
But predicting that global warming will be going off the charts in 34 years is so easy that we should uproot the world’s economy to try to prevent it.
Makes perfect sense to me.
