“Much that passes as idealism is disguised hatred or disguised love of power.”
– Bertrand Russell
The definition of a fanatic is someone who wants to change the world for some higher moral principle, rather than deal in facts and logic.
It’s so much easier to emote than to reason.
Reblogged this on Climate Ponderings.
You don’t trust people who claim they can temporarily lease (via payment made indirectly to you) a patch of seafloor and attempt to recover some liquid that enables you to have an undeservedly high standard of living – in exchange for a return on investment of 10%. But you trust implicitly a person who claims he can save the planet if only you install him as king and grant him the additional privilege of verifying that your daughter is a virgin before he tosses her into the caldera? How did Monty Python miss this skit?
How come all these zealots simply don’t take a look at all the prominent climate gurus and notice how they’re all rich – either before or after adopting the lifestyle ??
It is easy to live a climate sensitive life if you can afford the unaffordable – and everything “green” is unaffordable to the majority of us.
I saw De-Caprio was trading his Prius for a Tesla roadster.
I couldn’t afford a Prius let alone a Tesla – must be nice to be green, superior and rich.
“save the planet” = corny
The refrain is endlessly the same….. “We must SAVE the planet……blah, blah, blah.”
What an absolutely ridiculous statement. Man is not CAUSING climate change, and man is not going to STOP climate change. Yet the ignorant clown calls US “ignorant”.
CO2 emissions created by man, i.e. combustion of fuels, (called anthropogenic emissions) is miniscule compared to the emissions of CO2 from nature? Table 1 was developed by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) who promote the global warming lie. This is THEIR data. It shows annual CO2 emissions to the atmosphere from both nature and man and how much of the CO2 emitted is re-absorbed by nature. Using the table in combination with a total concentration of 392 ppmv of CO2 seen in the atmosphere in December 2011, one sees that the increase in CO2 caused by all of man’s activities amounted to only 11.5 ppmv.
Bastard probably even lives in an urban environment and doesn’t even grow his own food.

That particular person is trustworthy, and not one out to maintain his own selfish materialistic lifestyle?
