Yesterday I was listening to BBC World News, and they said that Australian bush fires were the “Petri Dish of climate change”
Before that it was :
- Snow is a thing of the past
- Antarctic Peninsula
- Barbecue summer
- Antarctic ice shelves
- 2003 European heat wave
- Alaska is the canary in the coal mine
- Katrina
- Sandy
- Colorado drought
- Moscow heatwave
- Arctic sea ice
- Greenland meltdown
- blah blah blah ….
These slime bags will move their travelling snake oil show as many times as they can get away with.
The acid test is hurricanes at the bottom of the ocean

BBC alarmism.
On the BBC National News at 1pm the headline was that the UK had the worst storm in decades.
To quote their own website
“The strongest gust of 99mph (159km/h) was recorded on the Isle of Wight.”
Doing a search on their website finds this for Thursday, 18 January 2007, 21:42 GMT
“Forecasters said wind speeds reached 99mph at the Needles, Isle of Wight, 84mph in Crosby – near Liverpool – and 82mph in Rhyl, Wales. ”
So according to the BBC 99mph in 2007 is slower than 99mph in 2013 even when it is in the same place.
Meanwhile Gore is getting a good dose of inconvenient feedback on his big Climate Fantasy production.

I couldn’t get that URL to resolve properly. Here were the first five replies to Gore’s call for feedback.

As far as I can tell, those are the *only* replies.

Link shows nice recovery. Looks like an average year.
Arctic ice 6.5 million square miles currently
Antarctic ice 7 million square miles currently
Global warming is over. Kaput. Finito. Nada. Nichts. Zilch.
My bad. 6.5 million sq km not miles
Antarctic is correct 7 million mi ^2 which is 19 million km ^2
Here’s the link http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/capital-weather-gang/wp/2013/09/23/antarctic-sea-ice-hit-35-year-record-high-saturday/
Ahh.. Thanks for the correction Morgan. It had alarm bells ringing considering Antarctica is far larger than the Arctic.. 😉
The sea ice around antarctica is actually bigger than antarctica itself. 7 million square miles when the continent is only like 5 or 6 million. Weird.
Probably because Antarctica is a land mass where ice can easily grow around it and it doesn’t have a through port for ocean currents to wash it away like the Arctic. Seems the currents circle it somewhat.
If our Aussie troll who was flooding that othe thread, Mr. Humphries-Sixtyniner or whatever his name was, is still about, THIS is one of the threads he wants to be in.
The day is coming when the BBC will be dismantled, sold off and privatised. Have no fear. Incompetence eventually tells
Let’s hope Aussie ABC gets the same treatment right about now for their unashamed leftist bias.
No updates to NSIDC data since 10/23. Still showing “black” ice north and south. New, revised, updated, improved charts coming out soon? Sure…why not.
Add dead Polar Bears and a pool of water at the North Pole to your list…
…empty Coke bottles in the snow…
Remember McKibben said lack of tornadoes is “weird”. Same goes for lack of hurricanes. Same with extreme-ly beautiful golf weather in March. Good is bad and bad is bad. Nothing is ever good.
BBC calling Australia a “petri dish”. How rude and typical. My response is “carbon tax repeal legislation” and a one fingered salute!!!
This just in……Medieval Warming Period on Greenland was so warm the Arabs took over and had camels and mosques. I think they imported the sand.

It’s a big petri dish.
Australia is a petri dish, but it’s so unhygienic that all the wrong germs keep getting in and multiplying.
We’re doing our best.
Illegal boat arrivals are now down to about 1 a week.
