The world’s snow and ice cover increased by 10-15%.
Within a single year, adversity had visited almost every nation on the globe.

The climate changes of course it bloody well does – since time immemorial humankind has called it – the weather.

Oh, no. This climate change is very different from other climate change. It’s not supposed to be changing now and we can stop the climate from changing and control the climate. We have top scientists, top, mind you, working diligently to control the climate. They would succeed if it weren’t for the oil companies and your negative vibes.

You don’t think our top climate scientists can control the climate? They’ve been telling us for years that they can prevent tipping points and keep the global temperature increase below 2°C if the evil oil companies and paid (by the oil companies) skeptics would just let them. These are top scientists with expensive models run on even more expensive computers, how could anyone doubt them. If we’d just let them, they can stop hurricanes, brush fires, droughts, blizzards, sea level rise, climate-change induced earth quakes and all sorts of things. Why? Perhaps nuclear blackmail, but definitely FEAR of death and lack of commitment to the basic principles of science!
The principles of science are designed to protect humans from self-deceit out of FEAR of reality.

So ‘very sophisticated science’ would tell us that we are once again headed into an “abnormal” period of “agricultural-optimum” (provided the planet resumes warming after it had had enough of that 17 years ago).
But alas, with record world grain production and record US corn production forecast for 2013, it’s no wonder the world is entering the “tipping point” of climate change Eco-catastrophe.
Carbon taxes and carbon trading are clearly the only answer to avert the insipid “abnormal agricultural-optimum” that so threatens the impoverished masses.
