“Al Gore hiding under a Phil Donahue wig”

A political nonprofit labeling itself the “nation’s largest grassroots opponent of radical environmentalism” sarcastically welcomed the anticipated presidential candidacy of Republican Newt Gingrich on Monday, calling the former U.S. Speaker of the House “Al Gore hiding under a Phil Donahue wig.”

A non started with me after he sat on the couch with Nancy and talked of climate change.

What can you say? He seems to get it on other issues, but on this one, he’s toast. And of all the candidates we have to choose from, who has been a skeptic from the outset? Slim pickin’s. Santorum? He’s been pro energy. But nearly all of them have been conciliatory to the Klimate Kult at some point.

Instead of playing along, we need someone who is prepared to get out a baseball bat and beat the Kult into non-existence. We don’t need fanatacism to manage resources or maintain clean water. I’d like to see someone who will strip the cult’s code words out of the debate. Sustainability, Carbon Fluffprint, Saving the Planet (for whom?) Eco-wacko-psycho-anything. We manage resources, for man’s benefit.

Newt is a media favorite because of his “intellect”. Just like Obama. I love (sarc) the present measure of intellect, as belonging to someone who can turn a good phrase, like the best car salesman, yet for one who also continually makes bad decisions. Obama and Gingrich may be intellectuals, a la Chomsky or Ted Kaczynski, but they could not survive a week in the real world, on their own, before someone took advantage of them. I would say that they are not ignorant, just stoopid. They both strike me as gullible, as long as their counsel has “good credentials”.

The biggest government takeover in history, ruining the entire world, actually, are the plans that warm-earthers have in their Caps-‘n-Trading swindles. If Newt is dead wrong on this, because he listened to his fellow pointy-headed ivory tower peers or just lacks common sense, how can he be right on anything? What are his tools?

I like Santorum. No surprises there. He was a great Senator from PA, the Keystone state. PA is one of the states most representative of the country at large, and is key to the South, hence the nickname. He had always been portrayed as lacking charisma, but he did well in the debate and showed chutzpah. But charisma may be overrated.
“How’s that White House charisma working for you lately?”

You can add Karl Rove to that list of people that don’t know what’s going on in the real world.

Making out with Nancy Pelosi was the last straw for me…..

Same for Pawlenty getting religion after spending millions of taxpayer money promoting cap and trade.

  5. slimething says:

That should be Gingrich making out….. EEEEECH!! Gag, cough…..

A cast of dwarfs and midgets. They make Obama look 10 feet tall!

    • Nobama says:

I think Obama’s pretty tall. Google says only 6′ 1 1/2″ Hmmmmm. Maybe the others are short. No Matter.

You know who speaks well and has written or said some really good stuff is McClintock of Southern CA. But he’s only a house Rep and not running.

      I’d like someone:

      As tough as Christie
      As suspicious as Glenn Beck
Knows the Klimate Con like Monckton
As Small Gov minded as Ron Paul

Does Newt Gingrich run for President just to stay in the spotlight? Even he has to know he doesn’t have a chance.
