Yesterday I wrote that I “don’t get paid” to write. That was true for the last couple of years, but as of this afternoon is less accurate.
SPPI published an article they commissioned a few months ago, and now it is online.

Thanks much to SPPI. Let me know what you think of the article.
And no, I don’t receive any compensation for writing this blog …..
Nice article. Maybe submit it to Nature or New $cientist magazine they need some balance from real science.
Good job!
I can’t help but notice how absolutely unexceptional our current heating is compared even to the recent past.
Greenland – a poster-child for global-warming catastrophists (OMG! Greenland ice will melt the seas will rise…OH OH OH MY!!) is shown in your paper to be undergoing no unprecedented warming even compared to early 20th century warming/cooling trends.
The chart from Godthub Nuuk for example, could have had a regression line drawn through 1942 to 1983 and it would have shown cooling! But that would be called “cherry picking”; so pick a time frame any time frame – it’s like a kaleidoscope of ever changing “proofs” of cooling/warming/staying the same.
I am ever grateful we live in a nice warm interglacial.
I don’t receive any compensation for reading this blog.
Yes you do. You get to see some real facts- the sort of thing you don’t get on Real Climate.
This should be featured at WattsUpWithThat instead of the sniveling politcal opinion drivel from Thomas Fuller. I can’t believe that small intellect is being given so much space there.
“As an historical note, in 1969 the New York Times published a prediction that the…”
“An” goes before all words that begin with vowels.
“This predictions from leading experts appear…”
These?
It is correct to use “an” before a soft h.
“This” should be “These”
soft h? that’s true for words like “honorable” but I didn’t think the h in h”historical” was soft.
ANYHOW, it was a good article, thanks for writing and posting it!
best,
JON
So I looked up “and” and “historical”… it turns out that historical is the one word that is pretty iffy on whether it’s h is soft or not, so it is correct to say “an historical” if you pronounce the h softly, but if you really make the h sound, as I do, it is correct to say “a historical”.
Best,
JON
Nice article. Now you’re in the pay of big…..uh….think?
……agree with Marcia Marcia. I just skip over the Fuller stuff.
But I hope this new site does well for you.
So easy to read and understand I am sure environmental activists/advocates do not want the average person to see it.
At least it’s science, not like James Cameron, with his non-solar power Fire Truck http://nymag.com/daily/entertainment/2009/10/the_truth_about_james_cameron.html and million dollar properties http://www.bergproperties.com/blog/director-james-cameron-lists-his-7294-acre-ranchland-in-malibu-for-24950000-continues-to-own-his-two-malibu-houses-which-are-on-the-most-celebrity-intensive-street-in-the-world-and-continues-to/ talking out of his rear end about the world while he rakes in the cash!
Great summary.
I have seen many contemporary accounts of how warm the arctic was getting in the 30’s but am glad to see it confirmed in real numbers.
That was an excellent essay. I’m glad you got paid for it!
Btw – I bookmarked it for linking and spreading it far and wide because even people who haven’t read or thought about CAGW at all can easily grasp from your essay how the lies get perpetuated.
You don’t get any compensation?
Welcome to the club!
I thought you were raking it in from big oil!
How are things at home?
