Arrogance And Stupidity In The Press

A generation of journalists is trained to believe that humans control the climate, and that anyone who actually uses their brain to think for themselves is is a “crazy extremist.”

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I’m not sure  about the former.

I was once given the task of showing a reporter the assets and production capacity of the company I worked for. Her intent was to write an article about the company. After spending a day showing her all the sites and getting into some minor details on the company, I took her back to her office. I offered to review her work for correctness but was told by her that doing so was against the code of the reporter. Total BS.

When the article was published it was embarrassingly wrong. I realized that the reporter wrote her article based on the biases she held. It was also the moment I realized that reporters have degrees in Journalism. Not science, engineering, medicine, economics, ……………..etc.

Reporters are only qualified to grade English papers. Nothing more.

Just goes to show the truth behind a growing list of phrases:

    Lies, Damn Lies and Statistics

Witch Doctors, Real Scary Witch Doctors and Reporters

Bullshitters, Heavyduty Bullshitters and Climate Scientists

Self Interest, Corrupt Self Interest and Politicians

Many more I should know about????

The stupidity of the press would tend to validate Einstein’s quote. The sad part about it is that people stupider than the press actually believe the idiocy.
