Yep Proposition 23
Though strickly speaking Proposition 23 does overturn it so much as it puts off implementing it until Unemployment drops down to 5.5% and stays there for over a year
It’ll take 10 years or more to undo the damage the lunatic socialists have done so I suspect unemployment below 5.5% for a year won’t happen till sometime in the 2020s.
And since this is California we are talking about, I suspect your estimate of the 2020s is being generous

The 12th of never sounds more like it. Or maybe it will be when bankers can sucker the illegal immigrants into another housing bubble, like they did a few years ago, and create a bubble of artificially lowered unemployment in the process, like happened a few years ago. Yaa, that’s when Sacramento can levy the carbon fun on everyone!
There, that’s the ticket! It’s all rosey now!

A good portion of those that are able to work have already left the state and a good portion of that those that would hire have already left the state. The reduction in unemployment will be when benefits run out because California will not be able to attract new business. The other states with restrictive practices will also follow. States can attract business by giving tax credit but without a tax base they will only go deeper into debt.
With the restrictions being put in place California will no longer be a resort destination. I quit using California as a resort destination yeas ago due to their restrictive nature. My wife’s daughter left when her benefits and her other daughter is moving from Las Vegas because of the influence California has on its job market.
California is more than 10% of the US economy. It won’t be enough to fix just the fed. The ROT is being perpetuated at state and local levels as well. We can’t turn the country around until the Socialist states are FORCED to return to Capitalism.
Unions might have too strong a grip at this point for that to start happening.
It looks like the people of California are going to make Jerry Brown the governor again. He did not do a good job the first time he was governor. And he did an awful job as mayor of Oakland. So the people of California must feel that it’s fine resume to make him governor again.
What will happen with Prop 23? What does it matter? Regulation that persecutes the people and businesses of California for no reason that makes any sense will still be in California’s future. And, in the end, the majority of people in California will think it is good, because, they have a deep fancying of themselves that they are “progressive” and smarter than the rest of America. So if it is happening in California it must be good—they will think. If you try to convince them that businesses have been moving out of California for years because of the punitive regulations Sacramento keeps mindlessly hammering businesses with they wouldn’t understand the regulations as really being harmful. I mean come on, how could something wrong be happening in California???
Who knows, maybe a miracle will happen in the next 3 days and Californians will come to their senses and not elect Jerry Brown once again—he’s up by 7% right now—and start to get California off the track it’s on. But I’m not optimistic (if you couldn’t tell). I think it will be like the smoker who everyone knows should quit but we see him light up the next one. Light up the Jerry Brown acceptance speech! Hooray!
