Heh, psychiatrists? How apt.
Hey, that was Stalin’s solution … Disagree? You’re nuts and we’ll put you away till we decide you’re cured. Of course, there’s always another solution.

They meant 10:10 signed up for psychiatric help?
It’s easy to cut 10% of your emissions, just buy an old Hummer, get it running idle in the garage for a month, then when you switch it off, then as if by magic your 10:10 pledge will have been fulfilled!!
Changing the tone just a tad, please see my blog post over at Compassionate Climate Action on the role that docs and other healthcare professionals could play in the climate change emergency. (Which anyone with eyes to see and a heart to care no longer denies or “skepts” — can you say Russia? Pakistan? Niger? creeping drought in America?)

Green in the heart but not scientific
Yawn
Interesting, Omnologos, that you don’t see compassion as scientific. It’s not supposed to be. The point is (wake up, now) that deniers, skeptics, delayers, ignorers and “flukers” (those who have been duped into believing it’s all just a “natural cycle” or a fluke) have no respect for the science anyway. I’m hoping that they at least have a heart and can imagine making changes in their country’s way of living (and generating energy) for the sake of the people who are already being impacted by the climate change emergency — keeping in mind (and heart) that what is befalling the children of Africa and elsewhere will soon enough befall our own children.
When somebody’s heart is green, be careful, it might be due to the moss growing on the stone
