Those 10:10 children, they’re dead. That’s all the difference…
Here’s my take on how to laugh about the 10-10 children-killing movie.
The clueless are those who seem unable to understand the fairly simple point that neither the Python bit nor the 10:10 video actually advocate killing people.
Talk of jailing and executing skeptics has come from the highest levels of the AGW community. Are you somehow not aware of that?

Why continue to defend the video even after all the offense it created, and even after the sponsors have dropped 10:10?
Do you understand how you look by doing that?
He isn’t really defending the video, he is attacking Steve Goddard, with a view to destroying him, and, like the sophist troll that he is, he will use any and every lever, no matter how morally debased, to do so.
I’m not defending the video.
I’m simply pointing out that those who say stuff that amounts to “Look, here’s proof, those AGW people are all Malthusians and want to kill children who disagree with them” have lost touch with reality.

I think there are some people who find the 10:10 video cathartic because they really do wish to see those who disagree with them dead. They see in the movie what they’d like to see in real life.
NOTE: I said “some”, not “all”, not “most”, not “many”. Okay?

But I also think that it was a catharsis to a lesser degree to those who feel they are not being listened to. And they are right, they are not being listened to. And now the video has exacerbated that, i.e., people are going to turn an even deafer ear to them now.
So, what exactly was it that the 10:10 video was advocating? If it wasn’t intended to intimidate CAGW non-believers with threats of what might happen to them in the future (disguised in Pythonesque garb solely in an attempt to try to make it seem to be within current standards of decency) if they don’t recant their heresy, then what was the point of it, in your opinion? What result did the people behind the video hope to get from their considerable investment of time and money in it?
ChrisD – Franny Armstrong now of double “stupid” fame has said they have killed five people by producing their video.
Please help me understand how a person casually at ease with such a thought can be trusted as _not_ advocating killing people that don’t want to jump aboard the AGW bandwagon. IOW…if 300,000 die each year how bad will it be to add a couple of children, two office-workers, a footballer and an actress?
Perhaps lost in the tumult is the Gillian Anderson message.
Even members of the “green” advocacy are not safe if they are not ready to commit and contribute “according to design and demand” as expected.
She was working for them and they still got rid of her…..quite the message. It is not about killing kids, it is about coercing and co-opting.
