‘Human beings cannot live without Mother Earth or without the planet, but the planet can exist without human beings,’ he warned.
‘If we send the Kyoto Protocol to the bin, we will be responsible for ‘ecocide,’ and thus for genocide, because we would be attacking humanity as a whole,’ he said.
He rejected a carbon credit system and demanded that temperatures be stabilized, with 1 degree as the maximum increase by the end of the century, instead of 2 degrees as agreed in Copenhagen in 2009.

Maybe They should build a giant thermostat and put it in Bolivia so Evo can control the temperature within one degree? Even better, get rid of the idiots who have been propagating this lie and driving people mad all over the world.
Morales is a really disturbed guy.
Incredible how people like him raise to power.
There were and are more disturbed people in the world, and presidents like in Burma, Korea etc. but you do not need to be an scientist to make an opinion of the current state of our world. If you would be able to place your self as a totally detached observer for the last 2,000 years it would not take you long to see what activities and developments in the world are having an impact on the climate change. Evo Morales is right, off course if humans would not have evolved. Natural selection and survival of the fittest would have continued its course. We do not need to take president Evo’s comment as a direct attack on us or humans, but we need to be mindful about our behaviour, and that this planet may be the only place in the universe. Yes our planet will not be here for ever, but are we going the same way of our prehistoric dinosouros. As a bolivian I know Evo is not perfect, but take my word he is probably the best president over all the presidents that Bolivia had…… He no longer is subsirvient to the american administration and to the Vatican. Our President is honest plain speaking straight forward in his thoughts and words. I am not anti american nor proevoI consider may self a free thinker and politically agnostic.
so evo morales has about the same understanding of the science as joe romm and jim hansen

The IFEO is back, it’s hidden in a new word IPCC. The objective is the same
The modern field and term were first formulated by Sir Francis Galton in 1883, drawing on the recent work of his half-cousin Charles Darwin. At its peak of popularity eugenics was supported by prominent people, including Margaret Sanger, Marie Stopes, H. G. Wells, Woodrow Wilson, Prescott Bush, Theodore Roosevelt, Emile Zola, George Bernard Shaw, John Maynard Keynes, John Harvey Kellogg, Winston Churchill, Linus Pauling and Sidney Webb.

Believers in eugenics argued that we could improve the human race by controlling reproduction. The most respected scientists from Harvard, Yale, Princeton and other bastions of intellectual rigor retreated to a complex on Long Island named Cold Spring Harbor. Their support came from the Ford Foundation, the Rockefeller Foundation and the Harriman fortune working with the U.S. Departments of Agriculture, State and other agencies.
The “science” was not lacking important public supporters. Theodore Roosevelt, Winston Churchill and Woodrow Wilson were enthusiastic believers. The theory won approval of Supreme Court justices, leaders in higher education and Nobel Prize winners. The founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger, was one of the most vocal adherents. She established the first “birth control” clinic in 1916.
Why not 0 degree, or -1?

The USA used one case, to push their “Carbon Cap” sterilization legilsation thru, because America was seen to be becoming feeble minded and needed to be cleansed by the new science.
The dangers when Scientific consensus goes wrong. Those people on the Real Climate site might think they are doing the right thing, but their unproven ideas are no different to the past.
“As late as 1942, a sterilization bill based on the German law was introduced before the New Jersey legislature.”
