What about Winter in the middle of summer? I thought it was melting
Was JUST talking about this tonight.
But it was the Movie with Will Farrell and the music of one of my favorite bands, Spoon!
I am a little luckier than you Steve. I lived in Brazil and always have rooted for them. Got to see Pele in ’70 pass by millions after they won the World Cup then
I’ll never forget Pele’s shot from 60 yards out in the 1970 World Cup. He saw the keeper out of the box and only missed the goal by a few inches.
And of course Gordon Bank’s save on the Pele header.
That was against Czechoslovakia, was it not? Nothing compared to the goals he scored as an 18-year-old in Sweden while part of the best team ever. But I will always remember sitting in the drizzle when Rahn scored the third one.
The runaround dummy against Uruguay is my favourite. The best miss ever.
