If I could be bothered I would research all the icebreaker tracks in the Arctic basin for the last 50 years. I would absolutely guarantee that would plot as a hockey stick.
I believe they do much more damage than they think when they ‘research’ the Arctic and can probably be held responsible for at least some of the changes in the Artic ice record.
Helicopters are OK (North Pole webcam deployment etc).
The lunatics are now saying Man made global warming is causing More Antarctic sea Ice, because of winds and a giant hole in the Ozone layer. I think they have nothing left to argue with.

Satellite shadow area?
I don’t know really! To me it looks like a rendering artifact as if it has been air-brushed or layered wrong, probably just a software glitch.
It’s the area where the sats don’t reallyt cover in their orbits, normally it is shown as a black spot.
