No, no, no….. it is because as the polar amplification drives polar temperatures upwards faster, there will be less of a temperature difference between the equatorial and the polar regions.

The driving force behind all energy flow is the difference in energy.
I think the biggest forces as far as the weather is concerned (excluding the energy input from the sun) are convection and the rotation of the earth.
