Obama Hoping To Kill The Second Amendment

Congress is the only thing keeping Obama from trying to repeal the right to bear arms.

“Even if I want to take them (guns) away, I don’t have the votes in Congress’’

If that were true, he would not tolerate Hillary’s advocacy of the UN Small Arms Treaty… oh, wait…

  2. Jason Calley says:

That’s just crazy talk! After all, Obama swore an oath with his hand on a Bible. He swore to uphold the US Constitution, which forbids him from restricting our right to arm ourselves. That means he CAN’T kill the Second Amendment, even if he wanted to! Right? Uh…right?

  3. More importantly, getting someone to go gather up the guns will be problematic. Any way I try to picture it, it never comes out well for Obama or the gatherers. Remember, the reason we have guns is to stop a tyrannical government, though the government does not seem to understand this.

  4. Billy Liar says:

Does he not know it’s ‘those guns’?

    Is Hawaii a redneck state?

  5. We’ll just take the White House away from him. We’ll keep our guns.

Latest handwriting analysis indicates if he gets 4 more we’re really screwed…

    A real prick.

  7. Hugh K says:

Well, if all else fails American gunowners can always pretend to be Mexican drug cartel members.
Don’t laugh. It could work. For the past 3 1/2 years we’ve had a Kenyan (or possibly Indonesian — the establishment media should finish their vetting process any day now) citizen pretending to be an American President.

      Exactly right!

      🙂 🙂 🙂

I hate to disagree, but how did that work out in New Orleans when the National Guard confiscated civilian’s handguns? Any resistance? Military take any casualties?

Please note that I am VERY saddened by the conclusion, but if the President were to order an emergency round up of civilian arms, most of our military would obey, and most civilians would acquiesce. There would be a small fraction of soldiers who would refuse and they would be arrested or confined to base by their fellows. There would be a small fraction of civilians who would refuse — and they would not even know what hit them. It would probably be a Predator drone, now fully battle tested on foreigners with public approval.

I hope I am wrong about this, redc1c4. I hope you are correct and I am wrong.

      • I suspect that background check information is illegally retained by the government.

      • Blade says:

You make some good points, particularly about N’awlins. Very bad precedent set, no indictments of the Governor and Mayor, no visible resistance. The gray area of using Guard soldiers keeps it out of the realm of Defcon 1 because of the nebulous State/Fed affiliation. Were they federal it would be much less ambiguous.

On a national scale though, you are describing the most optimistic scenario they ( the Feds ) could ever dream of. Call it instinct, but it would never go according to plan. We would rightly consider it an act of War and things would never be the same. The actual enemy the citizens would face would not be active duty military, but state and local police.

It will be very ugly indeed. But it would be a battle that had to be fought, what choice is there? If a President and/or Congress was criminal enough to make that move, it has to be stopped, period.

      • Go further West and South. Ruby Ridge and Waco did not just “hand over their guns”. New Orleans is an entrenched a group of government dependents as you can get. Of course they handed over their guns. However, in the West and Southwest, people may not be as obliging. Unlike concentrations of guns in Waco and Ruby Ridge, we are talking about states were a large percentage of the population has multiple guns which they actually use (not kept in a drawer in case someone invades the house). I would also note that the place with most guns are the least densely populated, making a Predator drone very tricky to use, since there is no concentrated area of ownership. I also think you underestimate the military’s going along with this. Many people in the military are very pro-gun and understand what disarming society would mean. (As for the background check info being retained, pretty much everyone down to age 10 in the western states owns guns. You can just assume everyone is armed. No need to go through paperwork.)

      • Jason Calley says:

Hey Guys, this is one of those rare times when having multiple people tell me I am wrong actually makes me feel better; I really DO hope that you are all right and I am wrong.

If I had the money, I would lease some billboards strategically positioned near military bases and put up ads saying, “Only Traitors Confiscate Guns From U.S. Citizens.”

This is why there’s an Oath Keepers group.
