Over the past week I have experienced repeated changes of warm and cold weather, with swings of 40-50 degrees from day to day. According to top scientists, this should have killed all life within hundreds of miles – except for possibly cockroaches.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

Same here in Canada, up and down temps. All life here right now is doing what it always does at this time of year…migrate, get ready to hibernate or put up enough food for the coming winter.
They are the cockroaches.
Snowfalls in New South Wales – in October…
“Another from the Weather Isn’t Climate Department. October is Spring down here in Oz-shire. Snow isn’t unheard of, but it’s pretty rare. Global warming sure is tricky – as we all know it can cause any weather phenomenon you care to mention, so I guess it’s only a matter of time before someone blames climate change.”

I’m migrating to Bali today for a holiday.
It’s warm up there and it’s a special day to remember 88 young Aussies from 10 years ago.
Respect.
I cannot imagine what your lawn must look like, after all those mass migrations back and forth across it.
You do realise that small temperature changes causes MASS migrations while wild swings in daily temps leave these poor creatures unaffected. You must also remember that creatures are unable to migrate north, east, south or west.
