Except that they didn’t start soon enough. Once the historical climate records were digitized, they lost control of them.
Thus it is glaringly obvious what the pack of con men masquerading as “researchers” has done to the latest version when you have easy access to the original and unadulterated data.
Some alarmist groups, like the “World Future Society” have hidden all their inconvenient past global cooling alarmist predictions from sight. I wish I could find a cache of microfilmed copies of their dire predictions published in the “Futurist” magazine in the late ’70s and early 80’s. They were fond of doing “Best case”, “likely case” and “Apocalypse case” for global cooling, peak oil, air pollution, mineral production, food production, etc. etc. It would be a riot to see how completely wrong just their headlines were. Alas, they’ve done a far better job of hiding their shameful alarmisim than NASA/NOAA and nothing prior to 1996 appears on the internet.
As long as they are digitized they can “Properly Adjust” them any time they want.
What NASA and NOAA provide are What-If scenarios not actual temperature records. Those What-If scenarios change every time the run a new report because they are model runs. GI=GO
GISS has archived all the raw station temps and now have only their adjusted sets (GHCNv3, ‘after removing suspicious records’ and ‘after GISS homogeneity adjustment’).
You can access some stations’ raw data but that access may be denied soon. Best to capture as much as you can (if you know how) before the archives disappear completely.
