Boulder has experienced no warming for 60 years, and they want to eliminate all CO2 emissions.

“Eliminating GHG emissions in Boulder will not alter global climate change. But that’s not the point. Acting responsibly is an ethical position.”

Roger Pielke Jr.’s Blog: Blog Break

What they have failed to consider is that this would force residents to take their pot smoking outside the city limits, and they would have to ride their bicycle without breathing or farting.

Just boycott their fuel deliveries as an act of ethics. Let’s see how morally flexible they are next spring.

How is forcing your religion on others an ‘ethical position’?

  3. Pathway says:

Boulder residents quit breathing. I like that idea.

  4. Disillusioned says:

Ah yes, “Community design.” One of those nice-sounding United Nations Agenda 21 action plan buzz terms, like “sustainable development.” The ultimate goal is for international totalitarian control over all populations on earth–land, water, mineral, air use, and the people themselves will be tightly managed. The goal is to restrict private property rights and to move populations to planned “sustainable communities.” 1984 on steroids.

Those bloviating politicians seem to be just about as intelligent as the ones in that California town that were hell bent on outlawing Di-Hydrogen Oxide. They were outraged. All pedophiles used it, all meth labs used it and it was a known ingredient in all illegal recreational pharmaceuticals. It was an outrage and had to be outlawed!!! They almost passed it.

Then someone spilled the beans that they were outlawing water.

And Boulder’s U.S. “Congressman” Jared Polis is fighting against fracking. It’s personal.

Boulder is just green with envy over Detroit’s wildly successful GHG reduction program.

The only way to really eliminate GHG emissions in Boulder is to convince people to leave Boulder. Boulder has about 100,000 people. Detroit eliminated more than twice this number from its census total in only 10 years.

Boulder has the goal of eliminating all GHG emissions by 2050, a little less than 40 years from now.
In 40 years, Detroit was able to eliminate the GHG emissions of more than EIGHT Boulders!

Detroit is the ethical shining green city on a hill.

Just take former mayor Osborne’s lead. Let’s not do it, but say we did.

How is it ethical to do something that does not need to be done and will have no impact, but will cost money or lives?

    • Latitude says:

because their over inflated egos….think Boulder is a lot bigger and important than it really is….it’s a liberal college town
