It’s not hard to see why that place floods: the setup is like London, where a city has grown around a river-crossing because of it’s military and commercial importance. Wuchang, Hanyang and Hankow seem to be parts of the city of Hubei, built where the river narrows from 1.2 miles wide down to 0.67 miles wide – a bottle neck.
