Serious floods have affected downtown Boulder in 1894, 1896, 1906, 1909, 1916, 1921, 1938, and 1969 with the worst being those of May 31-June 2, 1894 and May 7, 1969. The flood of 1969 was the result of four days of almost continuous rainfall

So they didn’t break the 4-day record but they still broke the 1-day record?
I was in Boulder at that time and all that I can recall now was driving through a flooded intersection at Broadway and the road that led to NCAR. If the downtown Pearl Street area flooded, I don’t remember that and probably didn’t go there. I don’t recall any panic. People seemed to take all in stride.
