Note that this super cold period from 1975 is now understood by climatologists to have been a super hot period, thanks to pioneering work done at Penn State University.
People in 1975 just weren’t intelligent enough to know if they were hot or cold.

‘weren’t intelligent enough’. the sheeple of today are either hot or cold depending on what the voodoo media tells them.
And the moral of this little story kiddies is that climate scientists are no smarter now than they were in 1975.
Or a 5th Grader.
Their super-duper über computers are broken and they can’t get up. Solution! New and improved super-duper über computers; at taxpayers expense of course. One problem, they input so as to output an already determined outcome. Well, they probably didn’t start out that way. But somewhere along the way they began to believe in the output even though it all began as an exercise in ‘what if’. Then it morphed into their new god. That and mammon.

Gotta love how the warmists scale their charts. A century is shown as about .5″ and .40 degrees C is shown as about .5″. If Mann’s chart was scaled in a reasonable manner it would pretty much be flat.
