I contacted my member of Congress Virginia Foxx in reference to your recent post about the Army’s purchase of nearly 600,000 AK-47 magazines. She contacted the Army, and they informed her that the magazines were for training and equipping Afghan National Security Forces. The magazines will be paid for by FY 2012 funds from the Afghanistan Security Forces Funds. Each Afghan soldier carries approx. 7 magazines she was informed.

Peace in our time could have been achieved for real 20 years earlier. Instead after the war we, especially the French, treated the Germans like crap and made them suffer. After 15 years of this they were desperate and elected the Nazis and Hitler. A lesson to be learned while we pick winners and losers and who to punish for real or imagined events around the world.
