Eighty-seven years ago, Miami was destroyed by a hurricane which brought 145 MPH winds and a 15 foot storm surge. In inflation adjusted dollars, it was the costliest hurricane in history.
It has now been 8 years since Florida was ht by a hurricane, the longest hurricane-free period on record. President Obama says that hurricanes are getting worse, because he has no idea what he is talking about.
