There is more ice in the western Arctic today, than any September 23 since at least 2001.
The map below overlays 2002 in purple, on 2013 in white.
This is a disaster for alarmists, because the western Arctic is where thick, multi-year ice forms over the winter. Eastern Arctic ice generally gets flushed out into the North Atlantic over the winter and is largely a don’t care.
Steve, there is more Snow on the ground Now for the first Full day of Fall in last 7 years . All dates are Sept 23, 2006-2013.

Very interesting, Chris. If it was only happening on one side of the Pole it might be a lopsided pattern that averaged out, but as it is happening on both sides I would think it is colder overall. Thanks for sharing.
Even the “don’t-care ice” on the Eurasian side seems to be refusing to be flushed out through Fram Strait. The buoy where the “North Pole Camera” used to be is drifting north and is back up to 83.94 N. If it crosses 84 degrees north latitude it will be the eleventh time it’s crossed 84 degrees since they first brought it over that demarcation line last April. Usually the camera-site is down south of 80 degrees in Fram Strait by now.

‘disaster’? I would call it nature’s non compliance with the agenda. They don’t let facts bother them; counting on the propaganda to be swallowed whole by the sheeple.
