Arctic Sea Ice Gone in Summer By 2012?

December 12, 2007An already relentless melting of the Arctic greatly accelerated this summer—a sign that some scientists worry could mean global warming has passed an ominous tipping point.
“The Arctic is screaming,” said Mark Serreze, senior scientist at the government’s snow and ice data center in Boulder, Colorado.
NASA climate scientist Jay Zwally said: “At this rate, the Arctic Ocean could be nearly ice-free at the end of summer by 2012, much faster than previous predictions.”
Now we have located the source of the screaming. It is coming from the Mainstream rowers. They are screaming that the experts have absolutely no idea what they are talking about.
“This has been the coldest season with the most ice since we started Arctic Watch in 2000. Almost no whales. The NWPassage is still blocked with ice. Some of the bays still have not melted!”
In the Global Warming Hall of Schemers, Scammers, Hysterics and Stand Up Comedians, Serreze is right up there with Trenberth, Hansen and Mann.

Looks like a Large Russian Ice Breaker is head to the N pole. Just showed up today, Track it crushes through the Arctic Sea Ice. I wonder if it is on a Pay Joy ride like the 50 let pebedy was at the end of July.

I only learned the other day that Canada has 6 icebreakers around the NW passage, but they don’t report their position on AIS.
“Our message remains unaffected though, bringing awareness to the pressing issues of climate change in the arctic.”
With a caveat:
“The arctic is changing and it’s changing dramatically. We know this because the people that live here tell us so.”
So you see, Victory for bringing attention to CAGW and Climate Change and whatever is meant by the arctic is changing because people that live there tell them so.
