    Maybe you should look at the most recent map. The caption said “for months”, which I expect it did.

    Huge change in US Drought Monitor. Short term drought eliminated throughout the Mountain West (except Idaho) and only long term drought remains. Long term included some 5 year averages. Big shrinkage in Exceptional droughts.
