The weather station at Fort Collins is located on the CSU campus, and hasn’t moved for over a hundred years. Unlike most of the US, it shows a strong increase in the number of record maximums, and a strong decrease in record minimums.
The weather station started out in the middle of a farm, and is now in the middle of a very busy parking lot and bus terminal.

Now it is in the middle of a parking lot.

Is it just me or do a lot of those trees look photo shopped in. All the pines and any tree over about 30 ft. look fake. Would someone really try to make it appear more wooded than it really is?

Why do the tall evergreens in the lower picture look so fake and symmetrical? Check out the trees in the upper left and right as well as lower left.

Incidentally, I’ve been modeling my campus over the past several years, and should finish when I graduate in the spring. I don’t bother with doing the trees, as the poor old computer I’m working with cant handle rendering them.
