Gaming Theory Working In Republicans Favor

The way the system works, either Harry Reid or Obama are going to be the last one holding the ball when the government shutdown/debt default decision is made.

Boehner’s strategy is very low risk, because most Americans don’t want Obamacare. Obama has said that defaulting on the debt would be catastrophic, and he is going to be the one making that decision. He will be faced with a choice of ego vs. default. Either way he loses catastrophically, like what happened to him in Syria and with Snowden.

He thinks he can continue bullying, but has burned so many bridges with the American people that it is getting much harder for him. Bitter flat earthers who cling to guns and religion (his words) are sick and tired of this abusive tyrant.

2012 election map by county. Blue is Obama’s party.

Interesting that most of New York, Pennsylvania, California, Oregon and Washington voted against Obama.

Being a Brit, I didn’t understand this “Obamacare” thing, but it seems this https://scontent-b-ams.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/1380571_565025936884909_694091441_n.jpg sums it up!

  2. Latitude says:

my plan would be to pass and enforce it ASAP…
….then sit back and watch it collapse and implode

    • squid2112 says:

While I would somewhat agree with you, I don’t believe it is going to make a shit bit of difference either way. There is absolutely no possible way that Obamacare can succeed in anything other than collapse. It was purposefully designed that way.

  3. Yoshi says:

The “blue” may be a smaller area, but the people who voted them in only needed the “blue” areas. Pretty tough. Imagine how things would be if HALF the map was “blue”.

  4. ralphcramdo says:

It looks to be a lose, lose situation for the Dumocrats. The American people don’t want Obamacare, but if it passes the skyrocketing prices of health care will be a bigger lose and show that those who created Obamacare had no idea what they were doing.

    • squid2112 says:

I disagree. I believe they knew exactly what they were doing. Their only miscalculation is that Obamacare is failing faster than they had planned. They need it to fail, but they need it to fail much more slowly. The end game is complete socialization of our healthcare system. They need Obamacare so they can usher in single-payer, completely government run and controlled healthcare. That is precisely what Obamacare was designed to do.

  5. Andy DC says:

Politics is all about takers vs. givers. If you look at the blue areas, they are mostly in places where people dependent on Government subsidies. That includes farmers in Iowa as well as Indian reservations. Romney had the audacity to speak the truth and it probably cost him the election.

  6. Traitor In Chief says:

I question that the areas shown in Blue are truly Blue. We have no way of knowing without fully audited elections… which are blocked by? The Slime-o-crats.

Our elections in WA have been stolen often over the past 10 years. Following some of them, Investigations showed that there are a great many dead Democrats.

Red states take more than blue states.

Founded in 1937, the Tax Foundation is the nation’s leading independent, non-partisan organization providing sound research and analysis on federal and state tax policy. The Tax Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and our offices are located in the National Press Building in Washington, DC.

More proof that democrats are idiots.

    • Blue states like Maryland and New Mexico have almost their entire economy based on federal spending.

    • Mkelley says:

I can’t speak for other states, but here in Montana I can guess why we get a lot of federal spending. For one thing, we are sparsely populated (about a million people in the US’s fourth biggest state) but have a lot of miles of interstate highway. I-90 through I-94 alone must be close to 700 miles long. These highways are of course used by anyone trying to get from North Dakota to Idaho. Another factor is probably the large amount of federal land in Montana. In a rational world, owning land would be a money maker for the feds, but that isn’t how it is done here. Activities that would bring in big bucks are virtually impossible, especially under the present regime. Mining, logging, and drilling would help out those of us who buy these products and bring in tax dollars, but that would upset the Sierra Clubbers so we hardly do it. We also have 7 Indian reservations (yeah, that’s most of the blue you see on the map here), that have to take a lot of federal dollars since most of them are rural ghettos. The whole notion of red state/blue state is kind of haywire, anyway. Montana is always said to be “red”, but we presently have two lefty Democrat Senators and a Democrat Governor.

  8. Sunsettommy says:

Democrats were able to vote in Liberal moron Jay Inslee into the Governors chair mostly because of TWO counties that contains the two largest metropolitan areas in the state are strong democrat cities of Tacoma (Pierce county) and Seattle (King county).

There are ZERO democrats holding office on the East side of the Cascade range at this time.

  9. Brad says:

But for the fact that people vote, not acres, your argument makes perfect sense.

If this shows your ability to think through facts, well…I am worried.

  10. gofer says:

The one thing people understand and are motivated by is their pocketbook. When they see Obamacare sending their premiums up and then waiting weeks, instead of days, for a doctors appt., party loyalty will start to be questioned. The one thing Obama drove home and people remember was that premiums would go down by $2500.00 on average. I suspect they knew this was not true all along, so the plan is to blame greedy insurance companies. People don’t know that every state has a insurance commissioner who oversees the industry, but Obama would have us believe that they are just running wild. Remember the end game is single payer and he is on record in that regard.

  11. Eric Simpson says:

I’m on board with this one, don’t fund Obamacare, no matter what.
As Jim Demint said: “We are not going to give in—one month, two months, three months. We are never going to give in. It’s just that important.”
Further, even if Republicans were blamed for the shutdown, this is putting the 250 watt spotlight on the hideous Obamacare, so bigger gains will accrue to Republicans by keeping that spotlight trained on the Obama-Monstrosity.
