There is a hierarchy shown in the time and importance given to civilian killings
Black on black: not a word said as there is no ‘racists’ angle to exploit and no one in the media wants to paint black gun culture in a poor light, where the blame lays squarely on their own shoulders.
Black on white: tucked deep into the news as an everyday hardly news worthy occurrence.
White on black: Bingo , three lemons , full house, with main storey media coverage.
Here in the UK exactly the same as there in the US. We have black on black killings every day white on black killings as rare as hens teeth but if we do media hand wringing for decades just like the Steven Lawrence case 20 years ago and the media are still full of it. In fact his mother who has never said one public word about al tens of dozens of fatal shooting and stabbing where no perpetrator has ever been found; has just been made a Baroness. Of course the left wing who hate the peerage system as classist, elitist and corrupt, suddenly applauded the establishment for recognising what a wise wonderful woman that she was. I saw “The World’s End” last night, and it appeared that there were a lot of white people killing robots in the UK. Nick Frost took out dozens of them, while still holding on to his pint.
Steve I don’t like saying some of the things that I feel have to be said as they are my observations, that the truth is being twisted. Here in the UK we had a very funny series called ‘Only Fools & Horses’ about two ducking and diving white working class lads in SE London’s Peckham. There was one Christmas special Del Boy and Rodney mistakenly go to what they think is a fancy dress party (turns out to be a funeral wake) dressed as Batman and Robin. In one of the funniest but socially untrue scenes a black councillor is being mugged by three white rather middle class muggers and of course with Del Boy and Rodder’s being late for what they think is a Fancy Dress Party they come running through the Peckham night fog and inadvertently rescue the councillor from the muggers. It really is a hilarious scenario and no doubt the BBC , the writer John Sullivan wanted to send out a positive message but in truth you’d be hard pressed to find three white working class people Peckham let alone muggers. And of course Peckham is in Southwark which like it’s neighbouring boroughs of Lewisham and Brixton is rife with mugging and shootings all the time . The only white people that live in Peckham tend to be trendy lefty middle class who hide behind security bars.
