I have shown a lot of data demonstrating that US and Northern Hemisphere temperature trends have been massively tampered with by NOAA and NASA. Their claimed goal was to make it line up better with southern hemisphere data, which supposedly has shown steady warming since the 19th century.
For example, CRU has been able to determine the southern hemisphere temperature to a precision of 0.001 degrees in August, 1850 – based on a single land thermometer in Tasmania.

There is one colored square in the southern hemisphere – over Tasmania. The hemispheric temperature was calculated based on a single thermometer.
So in other words their data has the same integrity as all other data manipulated by Hansen?
Integrity being they used one station to represent an entire hemisphere.
The southern hemisphere data is substandard. Even now they have large holes in most of Africa.

I wonder who in his right mind can accept such a level of precision (a thousandth of a degree !) with an implied error margin of less than 1/1000 (no error bar therefore the last digit is supposed to be taken as the last significant one), from such a limited measurement sample, with data coming from instruments which intrinsic precision is at best 1 degree, and untold measurement biases…
This is not only transparent bullshit, this is outrageous, as it is also by its mere publication in this form an insult to the intellect of the viewer.
How come that pile of … is not dumped into the trash bin right away and the author not sent back to the university to complete a minimum education ?
Does it mean that the intended audience is as dumb as the author is assuming it is ?

THE TREND REMAINS THE SAME
Yet witness below how Richard Muller’s algorithm that chops each series into independent little records *fails* to make any notice of the most *recent* up-gap. The result of his black box is a statistically created hockey stick! When you combine thousands of worldwide records after such middle middling, you get a world average temperature hockey stick that does not actually exist in the vast majority of very old continuous records. Other fields of science do not allow this. Or *do* they, these days?!
High crimes and misdemeanors. Nothing in “climate science” surprises me, since I discovered 3 years ago that no one, for 19 years, had done a proper Venus/Earth atmospheric temperatures comparison–and I have since found that everyone in the debate, consensus alarmists and lukewarm skeptics alike, still refuse to confront the definitive fact (that the Venus/Earth temperature ratio, at points of equal pressure and over the range of Earth tropospheric pressures, is due only to the two planets’ different distances from the Sun–even though Venus has over 2400 times the concentration of atmospheric CO2 as does Earth, plus a quite different albedo, plus a quite different planetary surface, none of which matters in the least, quite obviously). It didn’t take a genius to find that definitive fact, just competence in one’s chosen profession of physical scientist. Ignoring that fact, still today, all climate scientists and all lukewarm skeptics are incompetent–and as I have said many times, and will continue to say forever, the failure of climate science due to such endemic, general incompetence, is just the tip of the iceberg. The world is dealing with a crisis of incompetence throughout science, particularly the physical sciences, and especially the earth and life sciences.
Our temperature records are a joke. This data was never intended to be used by some libz coming along decades later to determine “global” temperatures.
