  1. John B., M.D. says:

It is over. Putin and Assad have won.
Assad will stay in power, probably with chemical weapons, and remain unpunished for war crimes.
Putin keeps his air base, and likely will arm Syria with S-300 surface-to-air missiles which only the F-22 and B-2 can defeat. This will hinder any strike by Israel on Iran’s nuclear program.
    This will be Obama’s legacy.

The only good possibility is that Assad might be able to keep Al Qaeda in check.

Oh, BTW, North Korea has resumed uranium enrichment.
Barring a startling turn of events, Iran should have their nuke within a few years, possibly before the end of Obama’s term.

  2. Traitor In Chief says:

Barry’s just trying to cover all the bases. Next, he can say that the “International Community” failed to act. That should wrap it up. Maybe the CIA can try to pin another gassing on Assad, and hope for more outrage.

  3. Bob Koss says:

All these negotiations are about Syria’s CWs. I wonder how many years this will take? Any chemicals with Iraqi markings left over from Saddam’s reign will be negotiated over later.

This whole situation is nothing but a sick joke.

  4. Larry Fields says:

Assuming that all of the contradictions you mentioned are stochastically independent, then Barry has 64 different Syria strategies!

  5. jack b :-) says:

The mind reels. The stomach turns. The regime spins.

  6. Gamecock says:

Basher Obama says, “No boots on the ground.”

This just in: the Pentagon has ordered 300,000 pairs of sandals. Hmmmm ?!?!

  7. phodges says:

The good news is this shows the oligarchies are fighting amongst themselves…the bad is that some are really bent on war and total domination.
