It turns out that the exact opposite is true.
A leaked copy of the world’s most authoritative climate study reveals scientific forecasts of imminent doom were drastically wrong.
The Mail on Sunday has obtained the final draft of a report to be published later this month by the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the ultimate watchdog whose massive, six-yearly ‘assessments’ are accepted by environmentalists, politicians and experts as the gospel of climate science.
They are cited worldwide to justify swingeing fossil fuel taxes and subsidies for ‘renewable’ energy.
Yet the leaked report makes the extraordinary concession that the world has been warming at only just over half the rate claimed by the IPCC in its last assessment, published in 2007.
Back then, it said that the planet was warming at a rate of 0.2C every decade – a figure it claimed was in line with the forecasts made by computer climate models.
But the new report says the true figure since 1951 has been only 0.12C per decade – a rate far below even the lowest computer prediction.
What would really be shocking would be if Obama ever told the truth, or did anything for the benefit of the American people..

Those of us who monitor global temperatures versus IPCC model projections don’t need a report by Christopher Monckton to tell us that temperatures are not rising faster than forecast 5 or 10 ago.
In fact, you can go back at least as far as the projections starting in 2000 from AR4, and it is quite clear that temperatures are below the vast majority of the models in those projections, including those in the “commitment” scenario, which assumes zero growth in greenhouse gasses, where current temperatures are below the Multi-Model Mean and the majority of individual models.
However, I wouldn’t go as far as saying that Obama was deliberately lying on the subject.
I think it is more likely that he is simply ignorant of the facts because he is being provided with false information by his advisors, and he is not in a position to challenge what they are telling him.
That in itself is an outrage however, and those advisors must surely be held to account in the future.
If you’re a highly partisan president you support the ideology of your base strongly. If the base strongly believes (or its intellectual defenders strongly believe) in AGW catastrophism then he sees his job as defending that belief system.

We tend to believe what so-called experts submit to us as truth. This is what President Obama did.

No, Obama refuses to listen to experts that disagree with AGW. When Bush was deciding on invading Iraq, EVERY intelligence agency around the globe agreed that Saddam had WMD, which he of course did. Saddam was given ample time to dispose of his WMD, while we debated invading. This is why the police do not hold public debates for months before making drug raids.
Umm…crucify him? I don’t like GW Bush as much probably as you do. However, do you ever wonder where Syria received it’s Chemical Weapons? Maybe you should check shipping logs of Iraq…Oh maybe those were conveniently destroyed in some attack during our invasion of Iraq.
Maybe it was CNN again trying to create a false flag…or hide the truth. Syria has Chemical Weapons because we sold them to Iraq during the Iranian conflict and now Syria has them because Saddam got rid of them so we wouldn’t invade…WAKE UP!

So in essence you are saying that “the emperor” is living as a prisoner in a controlled little bubble — within a controlled “Milieu” — and that he has ZERO access to any information from outside… that for example he is literally UNABLE to access the internet to independently research a topic (or even read news stories).
That would be QUITE a troubling scenario, and one that I don’t think is plausible — I see it instead an excuse, a rationalization for the fact that Obama CHOOSES to rely SOLELY upon information fed to him by others.
In other words, he is still culpable.
Why is saying what you think lying. Since when did all Americans have to agree with each other. We never have and never will. I didn’t agree with some of what President Bush said and did, but I respected his place in the office of President of the United States.

I still haven’t seen any of you guys addressing the heat showing up in the ocean measurements. That is 90 percent of the heat. The IPCC report will show a range of possible impacts and the lower range of their projections will warm your hearts for sure. But the range also includes larger impacts that you all will blissfully ignore. As the science gets better, an appreciation of the complexity of it all grows. But, the underlying premise of the review of thousands of peer reviewed studies that the IPCC presents still fully supports that warming is occuring.
The claimed heating of the oceans is less than the sensitivity of the instruments used to measure it.

…and even then, the claimed heat is far below what the models project. As to the scary consequences, as none, and I mean zero of the predicted disasters have occurred, but the benefits have been remarkable, I think it very foolish to listen to the always wrong doom and gloom crowd.

Obama got lots of votes and money from the green crowd. Thus he is beholden to them and will do their bidding. Factuality or lack thereof is incidental to that truth. That is why we had to vote his ass out, but we didn’t.
Now we are all suffering due to unnecessarily high fuel costs. Also lack of good jobs that would be created if we harvested our own energy, as well as energy independence, which is in our obvious national interest. All over .12 degrees of temperature rise per decade, which is well within the range of natural variability.
Skeeter promised many things to many special interest groups. Now he must juggle to find which of his conflicting promises he keeps. Probably he will not keep many of those promises.
