The flooding is now being added to Sandy as evidence of warming. Wandering around blogs, I’ve seen them trying to make this connection and calling it Biblical. It’s pathetic to watch people hanging on to ignorance. Rohm is having a fit over articles at the NYT and the POST that don’t go along with his agenda. One person tried to say that us commoners shouldn’t read those types of articles because we are not science-educated and will be led astray. Hard to believe there are these types of people still around. I thought the world got rid of them in the 40’s.

To be completely fair you cannot say with certainty either way about any event, can you? You destroy your own credibility by displaying such certainty when the reality is that climate science is full of uncertainty. Similarly the dismissive “I know best” tones have exactly the same effect. If you’ve got a closed mind then at least admit it rather than dressing up your bias as something else.

Just looked for your comments and both have been posted.

I took part in Operation Chaos back in ’08 and said (and told Rush) that I’d NEVER participate in anything like that again. It was so disgusting standing in the dem primary line and listening to the absolute lunacy coming out of so called ‘educated’ folks mouths that you just would NOT believe. Well, every time I venture over to the aol/hp portal to hell to peruse various articles and ‘news’ I feel just like that 2 hours in line back in 08. I just about have to take a bath afterwards.

They censor my comments all the time… Plenty of partisan inside the box thinkers on there…

How dare you question our Global Warming scare!! We have a consensus for Chrissake…

There is very low threshold at HuffPo for banning non-member of the global fooling cult. Last week I was permanently banned from the site and 18 months of factual posts on the climate scam (with many references to RealScience were erased. It is a very sick place controlled by morons and ideologues.

    • Hear, hear. HuffPoo is the embodiment of unfreedom of speech. Right wing sites (such as those linked to by Drudge) typically let you post whatever you want, yet Arianna’s little project (a liberal version Drudge, ostensibly) will block anything that fails to “get with the program”.

The last straw, the post that got me banned and erased was this:

Here’s all you need to know about climate science criminal Hansen:

“”It doesn’t matter what is true, it only matters what people believe is true.” — Paul Watson, a founder of Greenpeace:

“No matter if the science is all phoney, there are collateral environmental benefits…. climate change [provides] the greatest chance to bring about justice and equality in the world.” — Christine Stewart, Canadian Environment Minister:

“We’ve got to ride the global-warming issue. Even if the theory of global warming is wrong, we will be doing the right thing in terms of economic policy and environmental policy.” –Timoth Wirth, U.S./UN functionary, Democrat Senator

Ironic you moan about people censoring your comments!

  10. Justin says:

Huffington Post is no doubt the most censored site on the internet. I am a “superuser” and have posted thousands of comments. I’ve had a lot of them removed or simply not posted at all. Over the last year or so it’s gotten a lot worse. Although anything can be censored, the two most commonly censored topics that I’ve noticed are things against Hillary Clinton or gun control. I don’t like Hillary Clinton, I posted comments a few times saying I would prefer Nancy Pelosi or Elizabeth Warren over Clinton in 2016, every time my comments were removed. They did not contain anything objectionable, no cursing, no nothing. Simply stating my disagreement with some of the things Hillary Clinton supported while she was senator and why I would prefer another candidate over her.

I have also posted against gun control multiple times and found my comments removed as well. Again, nothing objectionable was posted. I simply stated that I do not believe banning guns would solve the issue for the same reason that banning drugs has not solved the issue of drugs.

I think it depends on the mod, but this is absurd. I began using an ad blocker (Ad Block Plus) on the website to cut off their revenue from me. Sites like Huffington Post don’t deserve the privilege of profiting off my visit by showing me ads. Sites like this make Liberals and Moderates look bad. They reinforce the belief held by many on the right that Liberals support a nanny state and censorship. I am trying to find an alternative to HuffPost, I simply cannot deal with their extreme censorship anymore.

I am liberal and they censor, or the latest delete my comments. They posted a disgusting applaud type article about some TV producer “Elan” who tweeted about how he sent a complaining woman on the airplane a note to “eat his Dick” and called her a cannibal for doing so. The storyline was that she was rude to the flight attendant, so the guy “put her in her place” Huffpost headline thought this guy did something great. I was so disgusted by this guy, especially after it was revealed the lady had terminal cancer, and I posted as much. So a number of people replied to my comment, favoring the guy, thus favoring Huff post. Every time I tried to respond back, they automatically deleted my post…silencing me. Grrrr

    • bkelly_boulderit says:

I have been having the same problem, today I tried to actually just say “Well deserved fan and favorite to a popular comment, and it got deleted. No response ever from support. I’m disgusted by it.

  12. azb8496 says:

I get called the most insulting names by liberals on that site habitually, but I NEVER fire back with any personal insults or fowl language. I always try to persuade their kin with intellectual compromise and refined reason, which is posted about 50% of the time. As an American, it’s quite disgusting to watch.

  13. bcat79 says:

I think that there are normal people of who lean left and lean right. Then there are those who hate. we need to put the normal people back in congress. People need to grow up.
