Colorado Record Snowfall Year Accelerates

We are having the  snowiest year on record here along the Kevin Trenberth permanent drought stricken northern Colorado Front Range.

Boulder has already had 266 cm of snow this year, and we have had almost that much in Fort Collins.

The snow season is starting early again after a very late finish.

Yes, and the drought monitor will fix that when it comes out next…!

  2. terrence says:

Wait until the data is “adjusted” – it will show that NO snow fell in Colorado since 1850, NONE, NOWHERE , ZIP, ZERO, NADA! Snow does not fit the narrative (unless AGW caused it,,,,(

  3. margaret berger says:

Ah, come on it’s dry rotten snow so it doesn’t count.

  4. margaret berger says:

    Thin too!

  5. Skiphil says:

You may know of this silliness called “Save Our Snow”

    • Colorado Wellington says:

Also campaigning on the issue is … Julia Mancuso who auctioned helmets and some of her ski race bibs … to help combat global warming.

That website is worth its weight in gold. To think that I sold my old ski junk at a yard sale for beer money.

  6. @njsnowfan says:

This Snow data chats page goes back to 2004 and snow cover seems to be increasing some since then.
This year is off to a jump above the mean.

Data is delayed 3 to 4 days.

  7. Chewer says:

I thought the skiing industry was out of business, permanently???
    What gives?

  8. tom0mason says:

This is only weather, if however it was heat your CAGW alarmist would be shouting it from the rooftops as the new normal or a trend.

  9. gator69 says:

Well it will soon be all gone, boil off I tells ya!

“But in Ben Tracy’s story, which mentioned the IPCC’s latest report, he said that oceans have absorbed much of the heat caused by CO2 and that ocean temperatures have risen only slightly. Then he made a claim that Principal Research Scientist Dr. Roy Spencer of the University of Alabama in Huntsville called “totally misleading and irresponsible.”

“Had all that heat gone into the atmosphere, air temperatures could have risen by more than 200 degrees [showed 212 degrees onscreen],” Tracy warned.”

You cannot make this stuff up, they can… 😆

  10. Jimmy Haigh. says:

It doesn’t matter how much snow there is. The last ten years have still been the hottest ever.

    /sarc…

  11. It must be the continuing drought that is ausing all this snow to fall. Reports of the death of skiing in Colorado may have been premature if this drought continues.

  12. The true test will come if there is two feet of snow around New Year’s. If there is, then–sigh–it’s pretty much same-old-same-old (I bought you a new shovel, dear).
