Hikers encounter hunters on Aspen Vista Trail
A couple of Santa Fe hikers were out enjoying the golden aspen leaves along Aspen Vista Trail on Monday morning when they heard gun shots. They were a bit alarmed and then encountered some hunters coming down the popular hiking trail carrying a deer one of them had shot.
Under state hunting regulations, the hunters were allowed to hunt from the popular hiking trail as long as they had a valid game license.
The hikers called the police. βI find it mind blowing that a trail that must have had at least 25 cars parked there with tourists, young children and dogs, there to view the beautiful changing of the leaves, and we had no idea that there were hunters close by,β said Alison Markinson, a hiker.

I bet they needed therapy after seeing those evil black rifles and a dead bambi.
Oh my yes, why just the thought of seeing a gun would send them into shock.
Larry’s free advice for hikers on that trail this time of year: Do NOT wear a wildlife T-shirt with a picture of Bambi on it! An orange vest would be a much more appropriate seasonal fashion statement.
Next thing they’ll want to ban fishing! Oh I forgot. That’s already happening.

Yup, that’ll be hikers.
In Victoria, Australia, they had cattle banned from grazing the high country (as they had done for well over 100 years) not because of environmental damage but because the precious hikers did not like the look of an introduced species in the landscape. If they want pristine they should do their hiking in Antarctica.
I find it mind blowing that this retard didn’t know that it was hunting season. Of course hunting is one of the safest sports around. Riding a bike is much more dangerous.
What a Dumb ass.
Even in the north east its common sense that you wear high visibility clothing during hunting season.
Don’t you think it’s kind of miracle that the Wolf has managed to make a returned to Washington State and sightings have been made as far as Northern California?
Kinda makes me think of solving the problem by sitting on a trail head so I can hand out hats with antlers on them… It is almost certain that the idiot trail hikers were not wearing orange vests or caps.
In the Ocala National Forest you don’t go there during general gun season unless you are a hunter. Non-hunting people just don’t go there. Everyone knows this. This is called wisdom. You don’t have to be smart to acquire wisdom. You live longer if you do acquire wisdom.

They should probably extend the hunting licences to cull idiots. They are getting out of hand and are gnawing on the fabric of society.
