Obama told those in attendance that they must respond now to protect children and future generations — a theme he has repeated after announcing in recent weeks new rules for reducing carbon emission for plants that burn fossil fuel.
“We also have to realize, as hundreds of scientists declared last month, that climate change is no longer a distant threat but ‘has moved firmly into the present,’” said Obama in the ongoing effort by him and his supporters to win the debate on global warming and its possible causes. “The overwhelming majority of scientists who work on climate change, including some who once disputed the data, have put the debate to rest.”

He was never a skeptic of man-made global warming. He just found another way to ride the pony and claim that he was “against AGW before he learned to be for AGW”
Every time I hear a pronouncement that “we’ve passed the tipping point”, or the “collapse of the West Antarctic ice sheet” is inevitable, I want to shout “Then let’s break out the beer and party. Can’t fix it, so we might as well go down laughing!”
As a proven liar, Skeeter’s declarations do nothing to advance the religion of global warming.

Perhaps having a Shell Oil President, Marlan Downey, “Former President of the international subsidiary of Shell Oil” as one of the ‘experts’ at his consulting firm might have something to do with all of Muller’s publicity shenanigans. – A puppet attached to Shell Oil with money strings comes to mind. Privately held consulting firms are so nice for hiding money trails aren’t they?
Shell Oil wants to push natural gas. Ged Davis, the Shell Oil VP who, as lead author, wrote the Sustainability Scenarios for the IPCC shows this in the “Sustainable Development (B1)” part of the February, 1998 Climategate e-mail which asks for comments on the attachment: “Draft Paper for the IPCC Special Report on Emissions Scenarios” by Ged Davis
To quote from the Sustainable Development (B1) (aka Agenda 21) section:
No wonder Shell Oil (and BP) have been pushing global warming since day one when they provided the initial funding for the Climate Research Unit of East Anglia. It will be a real money maker. tear out the old infrastructure and replace with Natural gas, Solar and Wind. A new twist on the broken window fallacy where the entire country has to shell out to pay for replacing the ‘window’ the energy sector is so busy breaking.
Some Major dailies have “disappeared” the Muller conversion article by the way. I guess too many people had the brains to figure out Muller’s scam.
