Tough Match For The US Tomorrow

Hazard, Fellaini and Kompany are a tough group, used to playing in high pressure situations.

Fortunately, Tim Howard, Michael Bradley and Clint Dempsey are too.

Bradley has been all but invisible so far and he needs to show up tomorrow for the US to have a chance.

    Yawn.

  3. Ernest Bush says:

I’m told by a European aficionado that basically, with respect to a US win, accidents happen in any game.

You are up against probably the best keeper in the world this last season (fall 2013 to spring 2014). Not that Tim Howard is any slouch but position by position I fail to see any advantage for the USA. Klinsmann is hoping Tim Howard has one of his “god like days” in net. If he does you can take out anyone (Spain, 2009 Confed Cup and the first half against Brazil). In soccer the keepers are the game changers. Most important position in the game.

I’m still going with Belgium in that one. My team didn’t make the big show so I’m just watching some great soccer and having beers 🙂

A repeat of 29 June 1950,v England will do fine, that was in Brazil too and will give an opportunity to remind Englishmen everywhere that Brazil and World Cups isn’t a good combination for them 🙂

  6. Truthseeker says:

Is the US going to miss Jason Donovan?

  7. Alan Davidson says:

Never expected much of a US contribution from Jason Donovan, but Landon Donovan perhaps would have been a good partner for Cliff Dempsey…………
